The project “Artistic Dialogues of Female Artists – Sevdah” represents a unique initiative to highlight the artistic contributions of Bosniak female artists in Montenegro. The exhibition showcased paintings and graphics by 15 talented artists, each expressing their interpretation of “Sevdah”—a deeply emotional and cultural concept—through diverse artistic techniques and styles.

Amina Ademagić, Sabaheta Masličić, Adela Kulenović Nurković, Seida Belegović, Nela Nuhanović, Jasmina Lucević, Seida Škrijelj, Elzana Nurković, Arabela Škrijelj, Adela Zejnilović, Sejla Kerović, Nejla Međedović, Alma Rastoder, Azra Dedeić, and Jasna Kalač.

Highlights of the Exhibition:

  • Diversity of Artistic Expression: The artworks reflected a range of styles, including expressionism, surrealism, realism, abstract design, and modern graphic art.
  • First of its Kind: This was the first initiative in Montenegro dedicated to promoting the artistic contributions of Bosniak women, blending cultural heritage with contemporary artistic trends.

  • The exhibition was inaugurated in the “Velimir A. Leković” Gallery in Bar, with opening speeches by Dr. Anastazija Miranović, exhibition editor Mr. Aldemar Ibrahimović, and Dr. Milun Lutovac, Head of the Gallery.
  • Musical performances added to the event’s atmosphere, emphasizing the cultural significance of Sevdah.
