Several activities in the Brezovačko Brdo park forest.
During July, August, and September 2024, NGOs Avlija, Štedim, and Bijeli Ljiljan organized several activities in the Brezovačko Brdo park forest.
Below is the statement from these three NGOs:
Over the past three months, the three organizations have implemented the project “For a Cleaner Brezovačko Brdo Park Forest.” Among other activities (surveying, a promotional video, photography exhibition), five mini cleanup actions were carried out at five locations of illegal dumps in and near the Brezovačko Brdo park forest. Several initiatives were also conducted to repair and repurpose park furniture, emphasizing reuse and restoration.
At the park entrance, an informational sign reading “TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU” was installed, encouraging visitors to keep the park clean and beautiful for everyone.
Three outdoor workshops for the park’s youngest visitors covered topics such as waste pollution, sustainable practices, responsible waste management, zero waste best practices, protected area conservation, forest management, and composting.
All activities were carried out within the framework of the project “For a Cleaner Montenegro” (PUMP), funded by the French Ministry for European Affairs and implemented by Zero Waste Montenegro and the Environmental Protection Agency.
