Brief Description of the Project
The project Poetry Night “The Art of Words” was implemented as part of the Days of Bosniak Culture, with the goal of promoting cultural identity, literary creation, and connecting the local community through art. The event brought together prominent writers from Montenegro and the region, who presented their works during an intimate and inspiring literary evening.
Project Objectives
- To promote the literary creativity of Bosniaks in Montenegro and the region.
- To support artists and writers by providing a platform for showcasing their works.
- To enhance cultural dialogue among different generations and communities.
- To raise awareness of the importance of literary creation for preserving cultural identity.
Activities Implemented During the Project
Preparation:
- Coordination with participants and reservation of the venue at KIC “Budo Tomović.”
- Promotion of the event through social media, posters, and local media.
Event Implementation:
- Opening of the program with introductory remarks by the organizers and introduction of participants.
- Performances by writers who read selected poems and prose excerpts.
- Discussion with the audience and interaction with participants.
Program Closing:
- Expression of gratitude to all participants and attendees.
- Presentation of symbolic tokens of appreciation to the writers.
Participants
The event featured the following prominent writers:
- Hamdija Kalač – Author of several poetry collections and recipient of the “Zaim Azemović” award.
- Braho Adrović – Author of numerous poetry books and novels, multiple award-winning for literary achievements.
- Safet Hadrović Vrbički – Author of over ten poetry, prose, and publicist books, translated into several languages.
- Rasim Ćelahmetović – Poet, prose writer, and anthologist, compiler of an anthology of Bosniak poetry.
Results and Achievements
- A cultural event was held with over 80 attendees.
- Positive feedback from participants and the audience.
- Strengthening of cultural identity and promotion of Bosniak literature.
- Enhanced collaboration network among writers, organizers, and the local community.
Conclusion and Recommendations
The Poetry Night “The Art of Words” was successfully implemented and achieved its objectives. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy diverse literary works, while participants were given a platform for promotion and affirmation. For future projects, it is recommended to expand the program to more cities in Montenegro and introduce additional workshops for young talents.
